Internship at KPMG Fakhro
Under the patronage of the Jassim Fakhro People Development Fund, KPMG Fakhro welcomed high academic achievers this summer from various universities in Bahrain to join its Audit, Tax, and Advisory practices. This is the ninth year KPMG Fakhro has welcomed interns to its practice as part of its commitment to educating and mentoring future business professionals. Over the years, the program has grown from 3 to nearly 20 students.
The interns provided valuable support to KPMG Fakhro’s professional staff and worked on various client assignments. Most importantly, team members had an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, improve their presentation and communication skills and grow professionally. “Each year, we look forward to welcoming local university students into our practice,” says Jamal Fakhro, managing partner. “It is very fulfilling to provide these individuals with real world experience while helping our own professionals enhance their mentoring and leadership skills.”
The Jassim Fakhro People Development Fund was established in 2002 to lead the human resources evolution, educate, train and develop people skills. The fund offers sponsorship and financial support towards professional qualifications courses and exams, awards and rewards programs, trainings and internship placements, international secondments and more to the region’s academic high achievers, industry professionals and firm employees.
