Finance Transformation
The Internet Age has brought with it many changes. It has transformed the way business operates. The finance department has not been excluded. Organizations will need to be agile in order to succeed. The same theory holds for finance and CFOs. It is clear that finance's future role is that of a business partner, not of a scorekeeper. But a large number of finance organizations continue to spend a substantial amount of their efforts on transaction processing and control issues.

Finance must embrace e-business. The Web provides finance with the opportunity to get closer to the actual business rather than having people and problems come to the finance department. But that means that basic finance processing must be redesigned. We see this redesign of basic processing as the first step in the evolution from scorekeeper to business partner.

KPMG’s Advisory Services practice has prepared a suite of broad finance strategies that can help you to re-engineer your finance function so that it can become your partner in business decision making.
