Balanced Scorecard
Senior executives understand that their organization’s measurement system strongly affects the behavior of managers and employees. Executives also understand that traditional financial accounting measures can give misleading signals for continuous improvement and innovation – activities today’s competitive environment demands.
KPMG in Bahrain’s Balanced Scorecard (BSC) gives managers a clear line of sight to corporate objectives and increases understanding of how operational success factors drive the financial results.
The basic idea behind BSC is to develop and combine monetary and non-monetary measures so that they can be used as a guide for short-term management in striving towards long-term visions and strategies. Moreover, BSC has the advantage of coordinating four different perspectives on the company’s activities - financial, customer, internal and innovation.
